Dermot Kennedy is back with a new track titled ‘Let Me In’.
The Irish artist is gearing up for a busy month as he hosts the newly established festival MISNEACH. This global event celebrates Ireland's rich musical tradition and culture, taking place in Sydney, Australia on March 16th and in Boston, Massachusetts from March 18th to 19th.
“For many years, I have taken great pride in watching the St Patrick’s Day festivities unfold in various cities,” Dermot shares. “I’ve always been deeply touched by how Irish history and culture are recognized worldwide. However, I felt that, considering the cultural wealth of our country, it wasn’t fully represented at these global events, and I wondered if we could change that.”
This ambitious initiative coincides with the release of his new single. Now available, ‘Let Me In’ showcases Dermot's emotional growth, marking one of his most refined works to date.
He remarks…
‘Let Me In’ explores the quest for genuine happiness and reflects on the people and places that have brought me nearest to it throughout my life. I wrote it on my first day in Nashville last summer. It had been a while since I’d penned a song, so it felt like I was finally expressing something I had long wanted to convey.
