As their arena tour begins...
Sugababes have released a new single titled ‘Weeds’.
The groundbreaking girl group is back, having recently earned attention with a prominent appearance at the BRIT Awards where they presented a trophy to JADE, alongside their latest single ‘Jungle’ that has resonated with fans.
In a conversation with CLASH during a break from rehearsals, the trio expressed their excitement about their new material, assuring supporters that their anticipated album is on its way.
The new single ‘Weeds’ sees the group collaborating once again with producer Jon Shave, who also worked on ‘Jungle’, and features the contributions of songwriters like Anya Jones to enhance Sugababes’ artistic vision.
Now available, it’s a gradually unfolding anthem, with ‘Weeds’ showcasing the beautiful harmonies that Sugababes are known for. The group shared their thoughts...
“The response to ‘Jungle’ has been amazing, and seeing it take on a life of its own has been fantastic. However, ‘Weeds’ showcases an entirely different aspect of us, and we couldn’t imagine a better time to release it than on the opening night of our arena tour. ‘Weeds’ is one of the most beautiful tracks we’ve ever created—it’s about growing together. This song holds significant meaning for us—we can't wait for you to experience it.”
Sugababes' new arena tour is currently underway; catch them in London at The O2 on April 10th.
