Following last month's announcement of their third album ‘onion’ (or, if you prefer a more precise approach, their debut album), Hard Life have released another track from it, titled ‘OGRE’. The song is accompanied by a music video and the revelation of a UK tour that will commence on 28th October at Leeds’ O2 Academy. “‘OGRE’ addresses a situation where no one is at fault, which can make things even more challenging,” says frontman Murray Matravers. “Sometimes, relationships become more intricate due to the absence of an antagonist and someone to blame: I’ll take on the role of ‘OGRE’ if it means we can part ways cleanly. This was one of the earliest songs I collaborated on with Taka for the album, and the imagery of onions—partly inspired by ‘Shrek’—became a key element of the record. Onions are universally recognizable, and I found the concept of something that is both simple and complex appealing.” Their UK tour will stop at the following locations:
OCTOBER
28 Leeds O2 Academy
29 Bristol O2 Academy
30 London O2 Academy Brixton
NOVEMBER
3 Newcastle Boiler Shop
4 Glasgow SWG3 Galvanizers
6 Manchester Academy
10 Nottingham Rock City
"The superstar declares, 'I aimed to produce the album I desired to write and release following my departure from Take That in 1995.'"
Jalen Ngonda, Katy J Pearson, Panic Shack, and Divorce are included in the lineup of performers scheduled for this November.
The track is part of the upcoming album 'More.'
Christian Music, This Is The Deep, Tough Cookie, and Y are all scheduled to perform.
The singer-songwriter's fourth album comes after last year's 'Found Heaven'.
The album comes after the Mercury-shortlisted 'Skin' from 2021.
They are also embarking on a tour after the launch of their new album, 'onion'.
