GRAMMY-winning songwriter and collaborator with Harry Styles, Mitch Rowland, has revealed his plans to release his second album titled ‘Whistling Pie’ later this year. He will unveil the follow-up to his 2023 debut ‘Come June’ on September 12, through Erskine Records/Giant Music. The album, created after Rowland moved to the English countryside with his family, aims to - as stated in a press release - “capture life’s little moments before they slip away.” He remarked about the record, “Everyone has their whole life to make their first record. While I was working on my second, it felt like time was slipping away.” For ‘Whistling Pie’, Mitch once again collaborated with producer Rob Schnapf, who also produced and mixed his earlier record, but this time they recorded at the renowned Rockfield Studios in Monmouth. Along with the announcement of his new album, consisting of thirteen tracks, Mitch has also released the album’s lead single, ‘Really Ready’. This track, which initially began in 2017, has only recently been completed. Listen to ‘Really Ready’ and take a look at the tracklist for ‘Whistling Pie’ below.
