Samia Reveals New Live Album

The celebrated third album from the artist based in Minneapolis receives the Rough Trade endorsement.

Minneapolis singer-songwriter Samia will be releasing ‘Bloodless Tour – Live From First Avenue’ this Friday, in collaboration with Rough Trade.

Recognized as Rough Trade’s 7th best Album of the Year, CLASH noted that this follow-up to ‘Honey’ is a captivating and often intriguing record that embraces Samia’s narrative abilities.

‘Bloodless Tour – Live From First Avenue’ is now available physically in an exclusive CD bundle, which includes a new color variant of ‘Bloodless’. You can get your copy HERE.

Samia expressed, “It was a privilege to perform at First Avenue, and the audience was incredibly welcoming. Friends there made me a shirt featuring MPLS and a large mosquito. Everyone was dancing at the end of the performance. There’s also an amazing YouTube video I used to enjoy of Rilo Kiley doing ‘Breakin Up’ at First Avenue in 2007. Jenny Lewis is playing the cowbell, and it’s so inspiring. My performance didn’t have a cowbell, but there was a dog named Cowbell in the green room.”

‘Bloodless’ was recorded in North Carolina and her new residence of Minneapolis, showcasing a richly-textured album created with long-time collaborators, co-producers Caleb Wright and Jake Luppen, along with frequent songwriting partners Christian Lee Hutson and Raffaella.
