Au/Ra has released her latest single ‘SWAMP.’
The alt-pop pioneer is entering a new phase, highlighted by a series of completely sold-out headline shows in the UK that showcase the connection between the artist and her audience.
Her recent track ‘Crack!’ has garnered over a million streams, indicating that Au/Ra is in a vibrant creative phase.
The new single ‘SWAMP’ is now available, featuring green-themed artwork that subtly nods to Shrek, the character known for living in a swamp.
Referencing one of her beloved childhood films, she sings over the polished production:
“I create where I want to be / select from the touch screen / SUPER WEIRD AND METAL PLS / In the swamp because I enjoy the green.”
Speaking about her exciting new release, she shares:
“There are numerous advantages and disadvantages to living in this tech-driven age, but what I appreciate is the ability to immerse yourself in fiction and explore various worlds in video games. Plus, my love for Shrek and the color green influenced where I envisioned being in this song.”
