Dry Cleaning has heightened the excitement for their forthcoming album 'Secret Love' (set to release on 9th January 2026 via 4AD) with the track 'Cruise Ship Designer', a characteristically wry, pop-influenced piece where vocalist Florence Shaw adopts the viewpoint of a cruise ship designer searching for significance in his work. She elaborated on this character, stating: “The song tells the story of a cruise ship and hotel designer who is talented and well-compensated, yet feels that his job lacks genuine value. He attempts to take pleasure in it and invests himself in overcoming the job's challenges.” This track is the second single from 'Secret Love', following the recent release of 'Hit My Head All Day', and comes with a choreographed video that showcases band member Lewis Maynard’s love for dance; take that, TikTok.
