Sharon Katta has presented his newest project, ‘Death said, Breathe’.
A powerful portrayal of grief and healing, this work marks Katta’s most personal endeavor yet. Crafted over six years, “Death said, Breathe” features vivid, cinematic soundscapes that draw inspiration from both the past and present.
The title track, an expansive 7-minute piece, immerses listeners in Katta’s universe. Composed of call snippets, field recordings, and altered vocals, the artist captures a profound, emotional stillness. Throughout the project, Katta collaborates closely with James Auwarter to enrich his sound, utilizing over a hundred instruments from around the world.
Reflecting on the track's deeply felt messages, Sharon Katta expresses: “Life is good. I’m thankful I reached out for help before it was too late. That call was the best decision I’ve ever made, and I’m glad I gave myself another chance at life.”
