This Saturday, November 15th, the Shutter Sessions Festival returns for its third installment, uniting another wave of exciting artists, DJs, and creatives at Bread and Butter Studios — the East London venue where the series first originated.
RSVP and secure your complimentary tickets HERE.
Hosted by Bread and Butter x VIRTUO in collaboration with Clash Magazine, Shutter Sessions has established itself as a foundation for up-and-coming talent — a consistent environment where creativity, community, and collaboration flourish hand in hand.
A NARRATIVE IN THREE PARTS
Each edition of Shutter Sessions has seamlessly built on its predecessor, maintaining the same spirit while highlighting a new cohort of artists. The inaugural festival in early 2024 featured a surprise headline performance by Kida Kudz, with KeepVibesNear providing support. It was a memorable debut that set a high standard.
The second installment, spearheaded by Sam Wise with support from Harvey Whyte, Piers James, and Zuko Rosemeid, broadened the sound and energy while staying true to its authentic origins. Now, the third chapter continues this journey — same venue, same mission, with fresh talent eager to leave their mark.
This time, headliners Saiming and JD Cliffe will take the stage — two artists embodying the vibrancy and depth of the UK’s evolving underground scene. Saiming merges poetic introspection with bold experimentation, creating sounds that feel both intimately personal and undoubtedly contemporary. JD Cliffe offers soulful R&B textures complemented by expressive lyricism and gritty instrumentation.
They will be joined by an impressive lineup of rising stars making significant strides — including Broken Pen, Tommy Saint, and J Casa — alongside an eclectic mix of live performers and DJs: Livia Rose Johnson, Virtuo, Kiiymm, Dejaz, Bby Shea, Kelvin5star, Miss Ruby Jean Smith, Mxzvita, Steez Is Key, Yudi, DJ Procrastination, Joon2Nice, Kevin the Kiwi, and CCloubee.
From 4PM to 11PM, Bread & Butter Studios will once again transform into a multi-sensory event celebrating live music and connection. Expect genre-blending sets, cinematic visuals, and the vibrant creative atmosphere that has become synonymous with the series.
This edition will also feature Mama Ky’s Soul Food, offering rich Caribbean flavors and comforting homestyle dishes in the courtyard, while Two Tribes Brewery will provide craft beverages and positive vibes throughout the evening.
Entry is free with an RSVP, and there's an optional pay-what-you-can donation model that directly benefits the artists. Performances will be fully recorded by the Bread and Butter media team, ensuring that artists leave with high-quality footage and visibility that extends beyond the event itself.
