It encompasses all of us. The painful truth is that the misappropriation of freedoms extends well beyond gender. This is an inclusive song, acknowledging what I feel I’ve lost personally. Freedom is not something we are simply given; it is something for which we must fight, and I no longer feel the need to apologize for that.”
