Finn Wolfhard unveils his first solo album titled ‘Happy Birthday.’

      Not satisfied with managing two other musical endeavors - Calpurnia and The Aubreys, for those who need a reminder - Finn Wolfhard has revealed plans to unveil his debut solo album later this year. The actor from Stranger Things and Ghostbusters is scheduled to launch his first full-length solo project, titled ‘Happy Birthday,’ on June 6 through AWAL. This follows his ambitious goal of writing 50 songs by the end of 2022. “I ended up composing a lot of bad material, but a few songs I was genuinely proud of went to The Aubreys,” Wolfhard explains about the origins of his debut. “I began to notice a recurring theme in many of the other songs, focusing on my identity, anxieties, nostalgia, childhood, and loneliness. All of these elements contributed to a larger picture. I knew I wanted to create a record, but I wasn't sure which songs to include.” Nine of those tracks have made it onto the album - see below for the complete tracklist - and in conjunction with the album announcement, Finn has released its lead single, ‘Choose the latter,’ which offers a gritty yet bright sound filled with nostalgia. Furthermore, he has also disclosed plans for a series of North American performances to celebrate the launch of ‘Happy Birthday’ this June.
