Night Beats returns with a new track, ‘Behind The Green Door’.
This enduring project oscillates between 60s R&B rhythms and energetic garage outbursts, unified by a deep passion for psychedelic clarity. Collaborating once again with their long-time label, Fuzz Club, Night Beats—led by Danny Lee Blackwell—has unveiled fresh material.
Available digitally now, ‘Behind The Green Door’ weaves together the diverse elements of the project’s sound. The crisp backing riffs evoke R&B bliss, while the psychedelic ambiance is reminiscent of Sunset Strip in '67.
A limited vinyl 45 will be released on April 11th, and an eye-catching surreal Giallo-inspired music video is currently available.

The song originated as a solitary instrumental piece, created in my studio in 2024. I envisioned dusty roads and softly lit dance halls. I aimed for the guitars to glisten like heat waves on an open highway, and to have the rhythm mimic footsteps on a wooden floor filled with smoke and neon light.
The lyrics developed from both past and present themes—steadfast love and transcendence. The ‘green door’ symbolizes the boundary between commitment and disillusionment. The narrative exists not only in the lyrics but also in the sounds and textures, awaiting discovery.
