The idea for ‘Tek Time’ originated after my visit to Trinidad, where I discovered parts of the island that were new to me. Immersing myself in the local culture, music, and atmosphere inspired me to incorporate those influences into my own work.
I aimed to capture the essence of falling in love in the club—the electric connection when you first meet someone, where everything feels fresh and thrilling. This experience, along with my passion for R&B and Afrobeats, contributed to the song's sensual yet energetic vibe.
It’s all about being caught in the early stages of love, where every moment seems to freeze.
