Wet Leg will unveil their second album ‘Moisturizer’ this summer.
The Isle of Wight band, fronted by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, achieved a viral sensation with their debut single ‘Chaise Longue’, which became an irresistibly gritty indie pop favorite. The track, later certified Silver by the BPI, initiated a series of successes, leading to their debut album reaching No. 1.
Following this, they went on an extensive tour, earning two BRIT Awards and delivering a memorable performance alongside Boss Morris. The band subsequently won three Grammy Awards, wrapping up their tour in the U.S.
Recently, Wet Leg indicated their comeback with a small show at London’s Moth Club. Their new album ‘Moisturizer’ is finalized and set for release on July 11th.
This summer, Wet Leg will perform at Glastonbury, as well as at Primavera, Radio 1 Big Weekend, and will headline at Green Man.
As the pressures of touring strengthened their connections, all five members of Wet Leg received credit on the new album. "We were just having fun and exploring," remarked Chambers. "We thought about whether it would be enjoyable to perform live. It felt very natural to write the second album together," Teasdale added.
Their new single ‘catch these fists’, available now, carries a youthful punk vibe, giving a sharper edge to the pop sound of their debut.
The music video, directed by the band and filmed on the Isle of Wight, pays homage to Ti West, Cameron Crowe, and their own ‘Wet Dream’ video.
A step forward, you can watch ‘catch these fists’ below.
