The UK rapper has had a long and varied career, filled with many projects and detours. Returning to his roots, ‘Grime Scene Saviour’ showcases Chip embracing his legacy while also advancing the sound a bit.
This era began last year with his star-studded single ‘Grime Scene Saviours’, which included nearly all the noteworthy grime legends. A subsequent London performance was a massive success, after which Chip hinted at a complete album.
Now available, ‘Grime Scene Saviour’ arrives as a new wave of energy emerges in the underground scene – perfectly timed, it features 12 tracks of 140 BPM tracks, ranging from ‘Sexy Grime’ to pieces with a sharper edge.
As always, Chip’s lyricism is outstanding – this is another crucial chapter in his journey.
