Just a few weeks after revealing details about his new album, Barry Can’t Swim has released another preview. His latest track, ‘Kimpton’, features London producer O’Flynn and presents a warm, uplifting vibe. It was among the first songs completed for the album. This track follows his earlier singles ‘Different’ and ‘The Person You’d Like To Be’ as the third glimpse of his upcoming second album, ‘Loner’, which is set to be released on 11th July via Ninja Tune.
Discussing ‘Loner’, which builds on his 2022 Mercury Prize-nominated debut ‘When Will We Land?’, Barry stated: “If my first album was a collage of all the music I admired and was inspired by during my upbringing, then this album represents the truest expression I can offer of myself and my life over the past year.”
The album will be launched alongside a series of festival performances, including appearances at NOS Alive, Rock Werchter, Rock En Seine, and All Points East, among many others.
