Mechatok is back with a new single titled ‘Virus Freestyle.’
A significant underground presence, the Munich-born audio explorer consistently challenges norms; his fusion of rave-centric electronics and futuristic pop continues to leave a lasting mark on his contemporaries.
A consistent series of solo EPs and albums have showcased his distinct style, with artists like Yung Lean and Charli XCX now discussing his work.
The latest track ‘Virus Freestyle’ sees Mechatok shifting direction yet again, combining early 90s rave sounds with the vibrant irony characteristic of PC Music. As a sporadic rapper, the title holds a layer of irony—it's a polished instrumental, seemingly recorded in one continuous session.
He shares his thoughts…

Listen now.
Mechatok will perform at London’s Colour Factory for Natural Mind on May 23rd.
