Frizzy P and Mr Cole have unveiled their latest project, ‘LADI DADI III’.
This release marks the third installment in their ‘LADI DADI’ series, highlighting the blend of their unique voices. Frizzy P and Mr Cole's styles and approaches converge, evoking the cinematic allure of Portishead or the enveloping bass richness of Massive Attack.
Naturally, there's a pop sensibility woven throughout, with the songwriting offering enriching snippets of alt-soul.
Now available, ‘LADI DADI III’ features six tracks—opening with ‘Christmas Time’, which is suitable for any season, while ‘Blooming Kid’ presents a lush, electronic-infused pop anthem reminiscent of Morcheeba.
The project concludes with the powerful track ‘Words Are Guns’, providing added depth to the duo's creative endeavors.
Frizzy P shares…
“As is often the case in this project, I allowed myself to be swept away by Mr Cole’s ethereal and almost dreamlike instrumental work, engaging in a dialogue with the deepest aspects of myself. I then endeavor to articulate the profound weight a woman may carry when liberating her body from societal expectations, wounds, and lingering transgenerational memories. It reflects a struggle to become and to heal.”
Tune in now.
