Jensen McRae has released her new album ‘I Don’t Know How But They Found Me!’ in its entirety.

Available now via Dead Oceans, this record showcases Jensen delving deep into her experiences, emerging transformed through the journey. Created in a North Carolina studio with Brad Cook, the album reflects on challenging times in her life while maintaining a sense of grace.

As a fresh voice in folk-infused songwriting, the natural essence of Jensen’s music does not conform to traditional standards; constantly breaking free, her new album celebrates the uniqueness of her sound.

She expresses: “Above all, I am thankful for completing this album as a testament to my journey into true womanhood. It’s my way of processing girlhood, with its accompanying innocence, straightforwardness, and resistance to change, and transforming into an adult capable of forgiveness, change, and balanced optimism.”

The album's title is inspired by a notable quote from Back To The Future, one of Jensen’s favorite films. She reflects:

“I could have easily crumbled under the weight of my experiences, but I didn’t. I was resilient throughout the entire journey.”

Featuring contributions from Nathan Stocker (Hippo Campus), Matthew McCaughan (Bon Iver), and her brother Holden McRae, this album offers a captivating experience.
