The artist showcases his distinct mix of indie-pop and alternative rock...
Rhett Repko has come back with his new single, ‘Somewhat Famous’.
This vibrant release from the singer-songwriter introduces a fresh take on nostalgia. After spending two days at Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica, he crafted the foundation of the song, a synth-infused anthem that blends elements of indie-pop and rock.
Discussing the track, Repko elaborates: “I aimed for a swampy, vintage blues vibe – something I envision gangsters in the 1920s would listen to in a speakeasy – the kind of song that gives you a cool feeling as you enjoy it.”
Having initially been inspired by The Beatles and Nirvana, Rhett Repko reminisces about his early days in a band touring across the United States. As he forges his own path as a solo artist, he continues to position himself as a collaborative talent, teaming up with Grammy-winning producers and engineers like James Sanger and Chris Gehringer.
As he plans to increase his releases in the year ahead, Rhett Repko sets his sights on new audiences, embracing the charming essence of 'Somewhat Famous’.
