Sophie Ellis-Bextor reveals information about her eighth album titled 'Perimenopop.'

      After spending the last few months hinting at a larger project with recent singles ‘Freedom Of The Night,’ ‘Relentless Love,’ and ‘Vertigo,’ Sophie Ellis-Bextor has officially announced that her upcoming studio album, intriguingly titled ‘Perimenopop,’ will be released on September 12th through Decca. This album follows 2023’s ‘HANA’ and is expected to be a vibrant celebration of Sophie’s middle age—full of empowerment, exuberance, and enjoyment. Her latest track, ‘Taste,’ exemplifies this spirit. Created in collaboration with MNEK and producer Jon Shave (known for work with Charli XCX and Sugababes), Sophie describes it as “a playful, flirtatious pop song about chemistry.” She elaborates: “What truly draws you to someone is when their taste in life becomes something you crave. You yearn to share all experiences with them, as everything they introduce you to feels just right. It ignites all your senses, allowing you to fully appreciate life—like savoring every flavor to perfection. Chef’s kiss.”
