After months of hinting at a new chapter, pop artist Mae Muller has now officially announced the release of her EP titled ‘My Island’ set for July 18th. This five-track project will serve as a follow-up to her debut album ‘Sorry I’m Late’ from 2023, but it also signifies a transformation for the singer. Following her departure from her previous label and a hiatus from the music scene last year, Mae has rediscovered the joy of creating music on her own terms. “Not having a label has compelled me to trust myself, which is a really powerful tool,” she shared about this new beginning, which has already resulted in two introspective and honest singles, ‘Breakaway’ and ‘In My Head (I Hate It Here).’ On the meaning behind the EP's title, Mae explains, “It’s isolated, but safe. It may not be perfect, but it’s mine and I’m keeping it afloat.” To revisit Mae’s journey thus far, check out our 2023 interview with her and watch the video for ‘In My Head (I Hate It Here)’ below.
