Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra have had to withdraw from BST Hyde Park.
The English songwriter was set to headline the last day of the concert series in Central London, joining fellow 2025 performers like Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Unfortunately, health issues have become an unavoidable barrier. This week, Jeff Lynne canceled a performance at Manchester’s Co-Op Live, and now he has also had to pull out of BST Hyde Park.
In a message, the songwriter expressed that he was “heartbroken” by the decision, as doctors had advised him against performing due to a “systemic infection.”

Jeff Lynne is devastated to announce that he will not be able to perform at tomorrow’s BST Hyde Park show. He has been dealing with a systemic infection and is currently under the care of a medical team who have informed him that performing is not feasible at this time, nor can he reschedule. The legacy of the band and his long-time fans are at the forefront of his thoughts — and while he regrets that he cannot perform, he recognizes the need to prioritize his health and recovery.
So, how can I obtain a refund for BST Hyde Park?
As per the latest updates from the BST Hyde Park team, ticket holders will be refunded and will be contacted directly by their ticket agent with more information.
