The Charlatans have announced the upcoming release of their new album titled ‘We Are Love’.
This album marks the band's first since their 2017 release ‘Different Days’ and is their fourteenth studio album in total.
Scheduled for release on October 31st, ‘We Are Love’ was created at the renowned Rockfield studio, which has significant historical importance in the band's journey.
Tim Burgess shares: “The concept of hauntology and psychogeography is embodied in our return to Rockfield, a place where so much history has unfolded for The Charlatans. This was crucial as a means to honor every member who has been part of the band. We are paying tribute to ourselves and our history, capturing that energy and reviving it, while creating something fresh and new.”
Taking a progressive step, the album features the lead single, the title track ‘We Are Love’. It is an uplifting, guitar-driven indie melody, perfectly suited for grand festival performances.
One of the earliest songs developed during the writing sessions, Tim Burgess likens it to “a ride in an open-top car during the credits of your favorite film, cruising along the coast toward something incredible.”
