Madi Diaz is launching her new album, ‘Fatal Optimist’, on October 10th.

The songwriter’s breakout album from 2021, ‘History Of A Feeling’, received widespread acclaim, followed by the two-time Grammy-nominated ‘Weird Faith’ in 2024.

Since then, Madi has ended a relationship with someone she once envisioned marrying and retreated to a desert island to mend her heart.

“I isolated myself on an island,” Diaz noted in her journal. “I had already started to think of myself as an emotional island, lost in a vast ocean of feelings. It was the ideal physical representation, alone with all my disappointments.”

‘Fatal Optimist’ is the outcome of this experience. Crafted on both coasts of America, it rounds off an informal heartbreak trilogy, with Madi re-emerging as a confident and independent force. “I didn’t realize that I hadn’t chosen myself yet,” she explains. “The only person I’ll never abandon is myself.”

Set for release on October 10th, the album is accompanied by the impactful, vibrant new single ‘Feel Something’ – tune in now.

      Tracklist:

      1. Hope Less

      2. Ambivalence

      3. Feel Something

      4. Good Liar

      5. Lone Wolf

      6. Heavy Metal

      7. If Time Does What It’s Supposed To

      8. Flirting
