Sir Chloe releases gritty new song ‘Passenger’

Sir Chloe has released a third preview of her upcoming album, 'Swallow The Knife', which is scheduled to be launched later this month. Dana Foote’s latest single, 'Passenger', follows her previous tracks 'Forgiving' and 'The Hole', both of which will be included on her second album. Regarding the inspiration behind the new song, Dana stated, “I envisioned the distress I felt while creating this record as a passenger accompanying me. It weighed heavy on my chest like a frenzied chimp, clawing at my face. I frequently sing about yearning for relief on this album, because for an extended period, it eluded me. You simply have to endure it while maintaining sanity, perfection, calmness, and a smile—even with your nose torn off." 'Swallow The Knife' will be Sir Chloe’s second full-length album, following her debut 'I Am The Dog' released in 2023, and it will come out on August 22 via ONErpm. The album was recorded in London with Steph Marziano (Hayley Williams, Bartees Strange), with Dana handling most of the instrumentation, while Sarah Jones, who plays for Harry Styles, played the drums.
