Just over a year after the release of their comeback album ‘All Hell,’ Los Campesinos! have unveiled a special live album called ‘So Close To Heaven (Live at Troxy).’ The title is inspired by a line from their song ‘To Hell in a Handjob.’ This new live recording features 21 tracks and was captured during their Valentines 2 Night Stand at The Troxy in London last February. The band stated, “’So Close to Heaven’ is our way of wrapping up the amazing last 18 months that have characterized the ‘All Hell’ era.” They noted that the live versions often include strings and horns, accompanied by the sound of thousands of fans singing along. Over the two nights, the band played 38 songs and decided which tracks to include by selecting only those that were not part of their 2012 live album ‘A Good Night for a Fistfight (Live at Islington Assembly Hall).’ The album is currently available to listen to on the band’s Bandcamp page, or in their webstore (where fans can also purchase a special screenprint), and will be released on streaming platforms starting Wednesday, August 27th. Below is the tracklisting for ‘So Close To Heaven,’ along with a link to revisit our interview with the band at the end of the article.
