After hinting at a new project all summer, Irish singer-songwriter Nell Mescal has officially announced the release of her upcoming EP later this year. Following last year's 'Can I Miss It For A Minute?', her new EP titled 'The Closest We’ll Get' will be launched on October 24th under her new label, Atlantic Records, and was recorded in Brooklyn, NY with producer Philip Weinrobe. Additionally, it will feature her recently released single 'Carried Away', which debuted last month.
Nell shared her thoughts on the upcoming release, stating, “’The Closest We’ll Get’ is a collection of songs that narrate a story about two individuals navigating the ambiguous space between friends and lovers. Each track reflects my realizations about how being in that in-between impacted me and, subsequently, the 'friendship.'”
Along with the announcement of her latest release, Nell has unveiled the EP's beautiful, folk-inspired title track and confirmed a substantial headline tour across the UK and Ireland, scheduled for this November and December.
