The London-based trio Ebbb has unveiled their latest single, ‘Eyes’, through Ninja Tune, accompanied by an enchanting video directed by band member Lev Ceylan.
Following their previous release ‘Manners’, ‘Eyes’ highlights the band’s artistic aspirations and their ability to delve into new musical landscapes. The track features sparkling yet jagged synths and ethereal vocal lines, concealing a song rooted in romantic discord.
“It’s about going above and beyond in a relationship, only to realize that you’re not a good match,” explains frontman Will Rowland. “The song captures the experience of being someone’s emotional support while coming to terms with your fundamental incompatibility. It oscillates between acceptance and the lure of trying again.”
The video complements this theme by depicting the struggle through surreal visuals and striking contrasts, reinforcing the band’s talent for pairing their sonic innovation with compelling imagery.
With ‘Eyes’, Ebbb provides not just a song, but a rich multi-sensory experience.
