Antibalas is set to release their new album ‘Hourglass’ on October 24th.
The Brooklyn afrobeat collective was in the midst of touring their Grammy-nominated album Fu-Chronicles when the pandemic hit, forcing them off the road. They utilized this time to demo new material, though the work on the new record was inconsistent, with the group disbanding and then reconvening.
Now, as they finalize their new album, Antibalas will launch ‘Hourglass’ this Autumn.
Scheduled for release on October 24th, the album connects to their roots, merging afrobeat traditions with funky elements reflective of their North American background.

The new track ‘La Ceiba’ embodies their mission – it’s energetic, rhythmic, and brimming with the vibrancy of their live performances, available to listen to below.
Tracklist: 1. Solace 2. Lo Life 3. Escape 4. Hourglass 5. La Ceiba 6. Oasis
