Returning with his first original music in two years, Thundercat has released not just one, but two new singles: the hazy, dreamlike 'I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time', and the energetic 'Children Of The Baked Potato'. The latter track is influenced by the legendary LA jazz club, which significantly shaped Thundercat’s fusion sound, and features a collaboration with Remi Wolf - another artist connected to the same venue. Reflecting on Remi’s input, he stated, "She knew exactly what the song needed. It was incredible to see her bring it to life. The more I listen to the track, the more I realize there was no one better I could have chosen." After releasing his last solo album, 'It Is What It Is', in 2020, Thundercat has also worked on songs with Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Justice, and others, in addition to making his acting debut in 2021’s The Book Of Boba Fett. Check out the videos for both new songs below. Furthermore, Thundercat is set to embark on a North American tour next month, followed by a European and UK tour in Spring of next year.
