Danny L Harle Collaborates with Caroline Polachek on ‘Azimuth’

      The London-based producer and composer announces a headline tour.

      Danny L Harle has today unveiled his new single, ‘Azimuth’, featuring vocals from his long-time collaborator Caroline Polachek.

      This track represents the latest stage in one of modern pop's most fascinating artistic partnerships, a journey that started with Polachek’s 2019 album ‘Pang’, progressed with the acclaimed ‘Desire, I Want To Turn Into You’ in 2023, and now comes to fruition with Harle’s solo work. Delving into the darker elements of trance, ‘Azimuth’ combines both artists’ classical background and experimental production into a sound that is both welcoming and stark. The song serves as an ideal showcase for Polachek’s ethereal voice, reaffirming their knack for creating innovative music that can penetrate the mainstream without losing authenticity.

      Regarding ‘Azimuth’, Danny L Harle shares: “The melody of ‘Azimuth’ could only be sung by Caroline; it’s tailored to her voice, and I can't picture anyone else delivering that performance. It also allowed us to explore scale, space, and silence in a way I’ve never done before. For me, ‘Azimuth’ is a trance ballad that is both despairing and hopeful, best experienced in a club located in a sunken cathedral.”

      ‘Azimuth’ follows ‘Starlight’, Danny L Harle’s recent collaboration with alt-pop artist Pink Pantheress, marking his first release since the 2021 ‘Harlecore’ album.

      Additionally, Danny L Harle also announced a headline tour slated for February next year.
