A year after their Mercury Prize victory for 2024's 'This Could Be Texas,' English Teacher has announced their upcoming release, ‘This Could Be A Remix Album.’ This LP will feature new interpretations of the original album’s 13 tracks, reimagined by a stellar lineup of artists. Participants include Fontaines DC, whose remix of ‘Best Tears Of Your Life’ marks the first release from the band's FDC DJs offshoot, and Matt Maltese, who aims to reshape the energetic 'Nearly Daffodils.' Additionally, English Teacher’s Lewis Whiting and Blossom Calderone have contributed their interpretations of ‘Broken Biscuits’ and ‘Albert Road’ respectively, while Baxter Dury has taken on the title track. Regarding the release, English Teacher expressed their gratitude: “So grateful that some of our favourite contemporary artists and friends were up for doing this with us x.” ‘This Could Be A Remix Album’ will be available this Friday (10th October); see the complete tracklist below.
