Oklahoma Indie-Pop Band Sports Announce Self-Titled Album

Oklahoma group Sports has announced plans for a new self-titled album.

Known for producing viral indie pop hits, the band has grown a global fanbase while maintaining their independence. For their upcoming album, Sports is returning to their roots, with the release set for next year.

The self-titled album, which reflects the essence of Sports, is scheduled to be released on February 20th – you can pre-save it now.

Before the album drops, Sports will embark on a quick UK tour, with a headline performance at London's prominent Garage venue on October 24th.

The band's creative expression is closely tied to the friendship between Christian Theriot and Cale Chronister, and their new single ‘Keep Falling In Love’ highlights their love for British culture.

While most of the album was recorded at their Oklahoma headquarters, this single was recorded in Brighton, serving as evidence that absence can intensify feelings. The heartfelt love song openly expresses emotions, and the band shares…

“We recorded the song in one day at Salvation Studios in Brighton, a rare instance where everything came together seamlessly. It’s a love song for my wife, who has been with me since I was 16 and was present in the studio that day. The song reflects how we have both evolved yet continue to choose each other - it’s about gratitude and the significance of love as a theme in our music.”
