Bartees Strange, an English-born American musician, has today released his latest EP titled ‘Shy Bairns Get Nowt’.
This EP includes tracks recorded during the creation of his album ‘Horror’, which came out in February of this year. It comprises songs that Strange believed didn’t align with the storyline of his third album, yet hinted at a fresh and thrilling direction.
Among the standout tracks is the passionate earworm ‘Ain’t Nobody Making Me High’, along with a rendition of ‘Baltimore’ by ‘Horror’ producer Jack Antonoff.
Regarding the EP’s title, Strange commented: “I overheard someone mention this while I was touring in Europe, and for some reason, it stuck with me for a while. I believe it's a saying from northern UK that implies quiet mouths don’t get fed. Sometimes you need to voice your desires to achieve what you want.”
Strange has also unveiled new tour dates in November across the United States, including four shows alongside Joy Oladokun.
