Tim Brownlow is a songwriter, composer, vocalist, and guitarist based in the UK, known for his emotive and genre-defying music. His journey began with the alternative rock band Belasco, which released several acclaimed albums, performed at major European festivals, and supported Massive Attack.
In addition to his band work, Tim performs solo, sharing the stage with artists like Ed Sheeran, and hosts the online radio show Tuck Box Of Love. His latest endeavor, 'The Journal Of A Broken Man', is an ambitious re-scoring of the 1922 silent film classic, Nosferatu.
Set to release in November 2025, 'The Journal Of A Broken Man' features Tim Brownlow's original score for F. W. Murnau’s 'Nosferatu', distinguishing itself from other re-scores that typically incorporate existing songs. This 14-track compilation is entirely newly composed, crafted specifically for the film.
The album was recorded in a studio located in Kent, in the English countryside, and merges acoustic elements with electronic textures and hints of classic rock. Listeners who enjoy Mercury Rev, Wilco, Pavement, and Rufus Wainwright will find its cinematic soundscapes familiar. While the album functions as a standalone emotional journey, its impact is amplified when experienced alongside the film.
