Ninush has disclosed details about her debut EP titled ‘The Flowers I See You In’.
The artist has extensively collaborated as a violinist, working with bands you may enjoy, including Black Country, New Road, Jockstrap, Geordie Greep, and others. Not shy about exploring pop, Ninush has also partnered with JADE and Anne Marie while honing her own unique solo sound.
Teaming up with producer Sam Tsang (Bon Iver, Griffy, Chloe Qisha), the upcoming EP ‘The Flowers I See You In’ will be available on February 6th through The Bird Records, a newly established independent label created by musician Charlie Wayne (Black Country, New Road) and Mita De (Brownswood, Ninja Tune, Polydor).
The EP is led by the new single ‘I Don’t Mind’, which presents an expressive and playfully avant-garde take on pop music.
She shares...
‘In terms of writing a pop song, ‘I Don’t Mind’ is the closest I’ve gotten. It's the most humorous and uplifting track from my upcoming EP ‘The Flowers I See You In’. While songwriting remains somewhat outside my comfort zone, string composition feels much more instinctive to me. I initially lacked confidence in the track, but after I layered all the violin parts, it came together beautifully and felt like the most natural piece I’ve created.
Tune in now.
