The beloved band Alabama Shakes has announced that they will be concluding a decade-long absence from UK shows in grand style, headlining the iconic Alexandra Palace in North London on Friday, July 3, 2026. This performance will almost mark ten years since their last live appearance in the capital at BST Hyde Park in 2016. In the meantime, frontwoman Brittany Howard has launched a successful solo career, releasing two albums: ‘Jaime’ in 2019 and ‘WHAT NOW’ in 2024, while collaborating with artists such as Childish Gambino, Bon Iver, and Michael Kiwanuka. Recently, the Athens, Alabama trio has also released their first new music in a number of years with the comeback single ‘Another Life,’ recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios alongside longtime collaborator Shawn Everett. The exact details of the band's plans for 2026 are yet to be confirmed, but they are known to be working on additional new material, so stay tuned!
