North London singer-songwriter ELIZA is debuting her first single in two years, titled ‘Anyone Else’.
Heralded as ELIZA's first genuine love song, ‘Anyone Else’ serves as a comforting embrace that encapsulates a tender yet experienced love. Inspired by her nine-year relationship with director and father of her child, Charlie Robins, the track showcases ELIZA's ethereal falsetto layered over a spacious, flexible beat and subdued, grungy guitars.
Produced in collaboration with her longtime partner Finlay ‘Phairo’ Robson, the song is quintessentially ELIZA, fitting seamlessly into the minimal, dimly-lit ambiance she created on her previous album ‘A Sky Without Stars’.
“It was a truly beautiful experience,” she reflects on the song's creation. “When the world seems to be losing its heart, having a loving connection with someone becomes the most precious thing.”
It has been eight years since the platinum-selling artist abandoned the name “Eliza Doolittle” and the major label scene to forge her own path as an independent musician. Since then, she has released two albums under the name ELIZA, starting with 2018's ‘A Real Romantic’.
