Tourist is releasing a new album titled ‘Music Is Invisible’.
For this latest endeavor, the producer has returned to his trance origins, reinterpreting those club elements in a fresh manner. Tourist's signature style is evident throughout, and he describes ‘Music Is Invisible’ as primarily centered around “melodic stories.”
Now available, the album is crafted to fill large spaces – grand venues and festival grounds – as Tourist employs sweeping, broad strokes.
At times, there is also a sense of intimacy, enhanced by contributions from guests like the captivating vocals of Julianna Barwick, which add splashes of color.
“I enjoy conveying melodic stories, and trance is fundamentally about melodic narratives,” Tourist explains. “The essence of this album stems from my instincts as a musician. Through creating this work, I’ve uncovered an older version of myself.”

Catch Tourist on tour next year, including a headline performance at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 27th.

In an interview with Atwood Magazine, the band's co-founders Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson share insights about the spiritual and creative renewal that inspired the music, the gentle reset that birthed this profoundly human collection of songs, and the fragile, familial philosophy that lies at the center of the Mouse Parade.
