Pop icon Robyn reveals details about her ninth album titled ‘Sexistential.’

Pop sensation Robyn has revealed her plans to drop her ninth album, intriguingly titled ‘Sexistential’, later this year. This album marks her first new release since the 2018 full-length ‘Honey’ and follows the 20th anniversary reissue of her 2005 self-titled record last year. The new nine-track album sees her reuniting with her longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund and aims to connect back to her remarkable ‘Body Talk’ period; it is scheduled for release on March 27th via Young.

Regarding the album, Robyn described it as feeling “like a spaceship coming through the atmosphere at a really high speed and crash landing." She expressed that it reflects her feelings of having explored too far and now returning to herself. “Exploring my sensual life gives me the same sensation as when I create a great song,” she notes about the album’s title, which initially started as an in-joke. “It embodies a beautiful type of sensitive vibration that requires significant effort to sustain. I believe my life's purpose is to remain passionate—it doesn’t necessarily have to revolve around sex, but it involves feeling sensual and attracted to the things I love, without letting anything overshadow that.”

Moreover, Robyn has unveiled two tracks from the album today, following the release of the lead single ‘Dopamine’ last November. ‘Talk To Me’ is a chic and funky track featuring contributions from Oscar Holter and Max Martin, while the title track ‘Sexistential’ presents itself as “a rap about IVF.” You can listen to both tracks below, along with the album’s tracklist provided underneath the players.
