The new single "The Judge" by Desire is now available online.
Desire has revealed plans for their upcoming album titled "Games People Play." This project plays a significant role within the Italians Do It Better scene, merging synth-wave production with cool pop elements. "Games People Play," an 18-track album, will be released on March 21st and is currently available for pre-order.
The new single "The Judge" is now streaming and acts as a mini-manifesto for the album, featuring frosty, sub-zero synths from Johnny Jewel along with a mesmerizing vocal that is both foreboding and stylish, intense and highly stylized.
"I'm the judge / I'm the jury" it cautions, followed by the refrain: "work it hard / work it hard / up and down the boulevard…"
With its minimalist synth-pop aesthetic in deep black, "The Judge" is accompanied by an animated video directed by Kirill Nong.
Desire shares their thoughts, stating:
"In an era of constant surveillance… Machines monitor our every action while friends observe our every move. Take control of your own narrative… be the judge and jury of your own timeline. Life is too fleeting, so disregard the onlookers and embrace the thrill-seekers. Time is limited, and the court is now adjourned."
