Cold Specks Reveals Upcoming Album 'Light For The Midnight'

Canadian songwriter Cold Specks will unveil her new album ‘Light For The Midnight’ on April 9th.

This album was shaped over the past two years, and sees the Canadian artist – also known as Al Spx – condensing intricate experiences into a collection of 10 tracks.

The record was created in Toronto and Bristol, with the songwriting collaborating on production duties alongside Adrian Utley and Ali Chant. It features string arrangements by Owen Pallett (Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Sampha) and additional contributions from Graham Walsh of Holy Fuck.

      She shares,

“I really wanted to reflect on the past couple of years because it affected me profoundly, but I also intended for the audience to take something away from this album. Once I release the songs, they become theirs.”

The album is now available for pre-order and is introduced by the new track ‘Lingering Ghosts’ – a haunting composition with an ethereal arrangement, which you can listen to below.

      Tracklisting:

      How it Feels

      Venus in Pisces

      Wandering in the Wild

      Cold Goodbye

      Endlessly

      Lingering Ghosts

      Cheap Dreaming

      Lovely Little Bones
