The initial indication of their upcoming album...
SoCal underground favorites L.A. Witch have released a new single titled ‘777’.
The band recently announced their new album, ‘DOGGOD’, which is set to be released on April 4th through the always-relevant Suicide Squeeze Records.
This record sees the West Coast trio going global – recorded in Paris, it fuses their raw dark wave sound with a certain refined, European elegance. At the renowned Motorbass studios in the French capital, L.A. Witch blends elements of noise pop with a gothic sophistication influenced by the studio's wealth of vintage electronics.
As they expand their musical horizons, L.A. Witch simultaneously reaffirms their foundational principles, embracing a sense of growth that feels entirely organic.
Available for pre-order now, the album is fronted by the haunting allure of the new single ‘777’.
The title refers to an angel number, while the lyrics delve into spiritual themes and the exploration of synthetic sound layers.
Regarding the track, Sade Sanchez from L.A. Witch shares…
A part of the energy in our new album comes from the opportunity to record in a city we all love, which is vastly different from home. Recorded at Motorbass studios in Paris, 777 is known as an “angel” number. It’s a song about the willingness to sacrifice for love while enduring its trials or suffering for it. It speaks to loyalty until the very end. Bursting with choruses and guitar dives, it was one of our favorite songs to record, and we can’t wait to perform it live.
