On February 11, 2025, the London duo Most Things has released their new single ‘Shops!’ – listen now.
They boast a unique, offbeat sound characterized by bass guitar jolts, erratic drum rhythms, and song structures that exude a childlike innocence.
Formed by Tom Phillips and Malachy O’Neill, the duo has garnered a cult following in London, consistently delivering show after show; you can see them live at the Shacklewell Arms tonight (February 11th).
Released through So Young Records, ‘Shops!’ is a burst of unfiltered originality. This track is one of the first they've created together and serves as a mini-manifesto for Most Things – fun, wholesome, and catchily annoying.

‘Shops!’ is among the initial songs crafted as Most Things, featuring bass guitar and drums with vocals layered on top. It focuses less on shopping and more on the mindless endurance of modern life (advertisements, new products, and ideological contradictions). This track sets a relatively subdued tone for what’s to come in the Most Things universe, making it ideal for your shopping trips.
