Welsh singer-songwriter Samuel Evanson has released his first single of the year, titled ‘He Gave Me Nothing’.
After last year's debut album, ‘We Are Meant To Break The Rules’, Evanson continues to establish himself as a rising talent in the indie-pop genre.
Combining the playful art-pop vibe of Chappell Roan with the upbeat anthems of Dua Lipa, Evanson contrasts the feelings of disillusionment from a summer romance with upbeat synth-pop elements.
Regarding his creative process, he shares: “I enjoy writing songs about my personal experiences, even the negative ones, because it’s a way of expressing myself without direct conversation, and creating something that resonates with people is why I pursue music.”
