Sam Fender has unveiled the fourth and final preview of his eagerly awaited third album ‘People Watching’ (set to release on 21st February) with a deeply personal new single titled ‘Remember My Name’. This heartfelt tribute to Sam’s late grandparents captures the profound beauty of enduring love and the immense sorrow of its inevitable conclusion, beautifully portrayed by actors Dave Johns, a fellow Geordie known for his performance in I, Daniel Blake, and Philippa Briggs.
In discussing his new release, Sam shared: “‘Remember My Name’ is a love song dedicated to my late Grandparents - they were always incredibly proud of our family, so I wrote this song in their honor, from the viewpoint of my Grandad, who cared for my Grandma during her struggle with dementia. The video holds special significance for me, and I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone involved.”
