Yeule Unveils Upcoming Album ‘Evangelic Girl Is A Gun’

      04 · 03 · 2025

Avant-pop artist Yeule will unveil their new album ‘Evangelic Girl Is A Gun’ on May 30th.

The songwriter’s remarkable 2023 release ‘softscars’ made significant strides, showcasing a work of profound honesty. Reassessing their artistry, Yeule is set to return this summer with news of the upcoming album and a series of headlining shows.

Scheduled for release on May 30th through Ninja Tune, ‘Evangelic Girl Is A Gun’ is expected to present a “cyborgian” interpretation of Bristol trip-hop and ‘90s gothic influences. Continuing to explore the future of pop, the album features production from A.G. Cook, Chris Greatti, Mura Masa, Clams Casino, Fitnesss, and Kin Leonn.

The lead single ‘Skullcrusher,’ taken from the album, marks a bold comeback – fiercely intense, it was co-produced by Yeule, Clams Casino, and Fitnesss, and comes with an impressive music video directed by Neil Krug.

“I aimed to pay tribute to my experiences as a painter with this album,” Yeule explains, citing inspiration from Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński. “For me, Beksiński beautifully captures, with great care, the beings that inhabit his dystopian, serene landscapes. The essence of painting reflects my emotions, both harsh and tender. It’s a moment in my life expressed through paint and preserved in time.”
