The American band Scowl has released a new single titled ‘Tonight (I’m Afraid)’.
The upcoming album ‘Are We All Angels’ signifies a new chapter for the band – their first with Dead Oceans, it showcases Scowl stepping beyond the limitations previously set for them.
Bassist Bailey Lupo mentions, “The songwriting process for this record was the most collaborative in Scowl's history. Everyone contributed a wealth of ideas, allowing us to explore and take our time with everything. Our diverse tastes, influences, and personalities are all audible throughout this album.”
The new track ‘Tonight (I’m Afraid)’ is available now, capturing Scowl’s bold spirit; open to new influences while retaining their love for hardcore intensity, it expresses this in surprising ways.
With their melodic approach, ‘Tonight (I’m Afraid)’ is a strikingly ambitious piece that moves swiftly and energetically.
In addition to the song, Scowl has unveiled a flipbook-style visual created by Adult Swim animator Adam Fuchs, which plays with both nostalgic and rather dark themes.
