p-rallel, a prominent figure in Black British electronic music, is set to release a new EP titled ‘Can’t Be Me’ on March 28th through his own label, Nevermind Recordings.
This EP marks the London producer’s first release since 2024’s ‘Movement’. The announcement includes the gradual, classic house sounds of ‘Feel That’, which oscillates between euphoria and ecstasy. Featuring the vocal talents of LA artist Drewbyrd, the single highlights p-rallel’s explorations influenced by London’s club scene and his global aspirations.
‘Can’t Be Me’ is shaped by the DJ/producer’s extensive international tours; he recently traveled throughout Asia and Australia. The four-track EP encapsulates the sensory experience of communal music, blending elements of gospel house, garage, and soul, all while aligning with p-rallel’s goal to inspire the mind, body, and soul.
“This project is an evolved version of me,” p-rallel expresses regarding his pursuit of true creative independence. “I aimed to capture the sense of connection I feel when DJing, but in a unique way—transforming that energy into something innovative. I’m working towards producing 100% of my own music. As a DJ, that’s my direction.”
